Chrys holds an MBA from the University of California Davis and a BA in Classics from Wake Forest University.

He began his career working for a large developer in California, and after business school, he worked in consulting for Ernst and Young, followed by 9 years as a broker and finance manager for multinational shipping firms.

Chrys resides in Morristown, NJ with his wife, Laura. He volunteers as a first responder with the Morris Minute Men Ambulance Squad.
